About

MY BACKGROUND

With a passion for astronomy and data analysis, I have the skills and experience to make a positive impact on the world.

Research Experience

2022 - 2024

at Charles University

with Dr Ladislav Subr & Dr Jaroslav Hass

Dynamical Coupling of Keplerian Orbits

This study explores the long-term evolution of celestial bodies initially in coplanar orbits near a dominant central body, influenced by a distant fourth body on a Keplerian orbit. The research incorporates post-Newtonian corrections to the gravity of the central body, relaxes the requirement of strictly circular orbits, and eliminates the strict necessity of complete Kozai-Lidov damping, allowing for wider application to astrophysical systems. Published in MNRAS with title "Dynamical coupling of Keplerian orbits in a hierarchical four-body system: from the Galactic Centre to compact planetary systems"

2020 - 2021

at University of Bristol

under Dr Sotiria Fotopoulou & Prof Malcolm Bremer

Star Galaxy classification using ML

Created machine learning algorithms to classify sources using broadband photometry. The algorithms were designed to account for missing data and uncertainties in photometry. The thesis titled "Star-Galaxy classification with a novel neural network architecture" is available online.

2019 - 2020

at University of Delhi

under Prof. H.P. Singh

Light Curve Analysis for Variable Stars

Created a sequential neural network to generate light curves of RR Lyrae variable stars. Using physical parameters as inputs, we were able to successfully generate light curves comparable to theoretical models.

2018 - 2019

at UCLA

under Prof. Jean-Luc Margot

Stellar Radio Data Analysis for SETI

Analysed radio data from stars to aid in the search for extra-terrestrial radio signals from planets in these star systems. Designed a neural network to identify earth bound satellites within the signal to reduce the number of signals needed to be verified manually by a trained professional. The resulting paper has been published titled  "A Search for Technosignatures Around 31 Sun-like Stars with the Green Bank Telescope at 1.15–1.73 GHz"
